W dniu 20 października (środa) o godzinie 13:15 odbędzie się wspólne seminarium naukowe Pracowni Inteligentnych Systemów Wspomagania Decyzji (ISWD) Politechniki Wrocławskiej, Zakładu Wspomagania Decyzji w Warunkach Ryzyka IBS PAN oraz Centrum Technik Informatycznych WIT, na którym dr inż. Maciej Hojda z Pracowni ISWD wygłosi referat pt. „Application of constraint programming techniques for solving constraint satisfaction problems”.
Application of constraint programming techniques for solving constraint satisfaction problems
Summary:
Constraint programming (CP) is a set of methods for solving combinatorial search problems. The central, so-called constraint satisfaction problem consists in finding a value for each set of variables within a set of specified constraints. The main techniques of CP are inference and search, where the first one typically takes the form of constraint propagation, while the latter is known as backtracking (search). Various methods of ensuring constraint consistency during search lead to limited thrashing (exploring similar but inconsistent branches of the search tree) and, combined with branching strategy selection, backtracking strategy selection, and other techniques, allow to efficiently search for feasible (and optimal) solutions of a variety of decision-making problems.
Seminarium będzie przeprowadzone w trybie stacjonarnym na Politechnice Wrocławskiej w budynku C-3, ul. Janiszewskiego 11, sala 118. oraz za pomocą systemu telekonferencyjnego.
